How is the best/easiest/cheapest way to change the vin in a used ecm to my truck vin? I am replacing my ecm with a used one. I understand I will have to put in injector flow data.

If you have Efilive, plug in your Flashscan or Autocal inline with your laptop, and connect it to your truck. Open Efilive Scan and Tune, and select the F4:OBD tab. A window will open and one of the tabs in that window will be VIN change.

Changing the VIN does not make it compatible with a new vehicle. Have you reprogrammed the new ecm with the correct file?

I will get my autocal v3 and ECM tomorrow. I believe I have the correct file for my truck. If not I will have to get a deleted tune for it
