I have a 22 Cummins that I did in ECM swap on to a 19 ECM. I just flashed the stock read for my 22 ECM into it and everything is well in the truck operates as it should. I want to tune using EFI as that's where my familiarity is. I assume my 22 base file is not supported, OS 52371231AK. I have a handful of base files for a 19 through 21 trucks. I plan to just use one of those but my question is, will full flashing this ECM with a different OS delete the IMMO data in it and cause a no start security issue?

I would stick with your 2022 calibration and not use a 2019-2021 and make sure the security keys are saved in your file as an extra assurance. I had a 2023 lose it’s security keys after flashing and the truck had to be reflashed with a stock file using an autel to get it running again.

Thanks for your response Jim. That is certainly ideal. I do have the calibration saved in .hpt and .bin format containing the IMMO data. I'll convert by bin file to .CTZ and see if it will open in EFI.

Didnt think EFI supported 2022+ files.. Has that changed?

I haven't tried loading it in EFIlive yet but I am doubtful it is a supported OS.

An update. I sent you an email Jim. Efilive support said the IMMO data would not be affected if I flashed 52371231AK and that it was supported. I cannot locate that base file so I used another compatible file. The truck is in an IMMO shutdown so changing the OS definitely seems to affect the IMMO or something. The vin original seemed correct but the vin current is all 00000. Attempting to program vin with V8 or alpha OBD doesn't seem to take. This is a modified file and it does flash all the way through correctly. If anyone has a stock OS that matches mine I would love to try to see if the IMMO data remains when using the OEM OS.
