Hello! Looking to get some insight and possible tune assistance on a problem we're encountering.
The Truck:
2018 Ram 3500 Chassis Cab w/ EFI Tune & EGR Delete
The problem:
The engine dropped a valve and punctured the block at only 55k miles. Apparently the chassis cab engine has lower-quality parts made in India vs. the consumer trucks which have Brazillian steel. And of course it was 2 months out of warranty so Dodge was no help.
We installed an engine out of a 2017 3500.
Ran OK other than a P0113 code related to the intake air temp sensor. Which on the chassis cab, seems to be a temperature/pressure sensor combined. The truck seems to think that the manifold temperature is -40 degrees Fahrenheit since we swapped the chassis cab engine out.
We suspect the tune is to blame but we cannot find anyone in the Reno NV area to take it on.
