V8.4.77 Public Beta Release - 6
Be careful when installing the beta software on your production systems. It is possible that the beta test software may fail and your production system may not be recoverable. If you conduct a tuning business, please take the necessary precautions to protect your business. EFILive recommends beta testers use a separate FlashScan V3/V2 device (when installing the latest beta firmware) and only install the EFILive beta software on a separate PC, laptop or virtual machine.

WARNING:
References to Activation Codes in the F7: Licenses window have been changed to Installation Codes.
When purchasing Installation Codes, the emails delivered by the on-line store will refer to the codes as Activation Codes.
Once the beta software is promoted to production, the emails will be updated to reflect the new Installation Code wording.

The current public release is available here (http://www.efilive.com/download-efilive).

Lots of updates to E38/T43 cals in there i see, Very Nice.

Can i ask 1 small thing, since im still making cax files in the v7 format thanks to the free tool that was released & then convert to v8. I often get these error messages:

Address Overlap Report
The following calibrations have been excluded:

- User calibration: D9862 overlaps one or more EFILive calibration(s)
User defined definitions may overlap other user defined definitions (to support interleaved axis/data definitions) by checking the option: View->Properties->[Options]->"Allow *.cax calibrations to overlap other *.cax calibrations."

Now the weird thing is almost none of them are actually overlapping defined cals, because i can load the files into V8 & do a comparison & only my defined parameter will show a change when comparing 2 files, Are there hidden defined options in the last updated V7 software?

To confirm, look at TCM os 24256125 -1f6262
This is a switch for Temporary Tapshift Detent Disable.

The overlap check is not "very smart" in V7. If a single 3D/map style calibration is defined using multiple columns that are not contiguous in memory then it will "assume" that the unused space between the columns are all part of that same cal. If you then define a calibration that uses any of the data in between those columns, then it will get reported as overlapping.
Note: In V8 it does not matter if anything overlaps, both/all overlapping cals get updated when any of them are changed.
There are also cals in V7 that are not shown, such as throttle validation/backup tables in the LS1 for example. I don't think there are any hidden cals for TCMs though.

I'll take a closer look at it later next week when I get back in the office, I'm away from the office until then.

Paul

Yeah no stress. just something i've been dealing with for a while.

Currently going through an older t43 cal to see why the convertor lockup is misbehaving. Multiplate convertor/built box so i know it's not a mechanical issue as it's been pulled apart and dbl checked.
