Hi folks,
as you know we have generally needed to use alternate software to enable fans after patching and changing parameters.
I'm not sure if this has been updated in EFI Live, if it has I can't find the solution.
I have spent the whole day following previous posts and trying to get my stand alone L76 E38 discrete fan working but have failed.
It works through DVT as fan 2, but despite multiple changes to my numbers I cant get it to kick in.
I am posting the file here in hope someone can tell me what I have done wrong, I'd like to learn from this.
It has the patch applied successfully as far as I can tell, but from there I am lost as to what needs fiddling with to make it work.
Any help and advice appreciated.

Any help would be appreciated; else I have to trailer my car 350km to get a guy to HP tune it.
If you can help but want money, fine, tell me.
I'm not sure if it's the terminology used in the setting section that has me confused? Or the lack of clear documentation.

interesting, when i check the vin in that file is comes up with an early 07 os -12612381, but i've never seen the os number in your tune file before.
Did you flash the ecu with this different OS file?

It was quite some years back now, but I recall buying it blank online.
Australias foremost wiring expert, Jim, built me a loom based on a commodore, approx VZ.
After I fitted the loom Jim did the TIS and dropped a base tune on it to get me going, the fans worked then. Over time it was re-written witout saving the original tune file and since then the fans fail to work except in DVT.
On my Launch scan tool the car identifies as a VZ-WL Holden 6.0L.
I seem to have all necessary functions working except for the fans.
Really, I hope I have just made a glaring obvious error and someone will correct me.

the os comes back as something for a 2006 Corvette C6. That is likely the reason the fans dont work. The Vet uses a single PWM fan.

give this file a shot, i've turned on the 2nd fan and copied all the switch points from a normal holden vz tune.

Yes, Yes it works.
Genuinely truly thankful for your knowledge and help.
I do vaguely remember it being a Corvette once upon a time, but I had lost any record of info on that with dead laptops and old tuning tools.
Thankyou for explaining why there is a difference also.
After 2 recent bouts of cancer I was dreading the kids being left with an unfinished project they have no clue about. My mission now is to get the chassis strengthened and the rest of the details done before engineering.
The engine is in yet another AC Cobra replica for any one interested.
Thanks once again.
