I was looking through a collection of stock files I have. Curious to why some factory files for trucks equipped with an Aisin have 68RFE tables mapped? However I have opened a few that do not as well? After doing a little bit of research I have read that some "tuners" flash all trucks with 68 mapped tables just to save time from creating a script or writing files for different equipped trucks (68 or aisin). Is it safe to flash a Aisin equipped truck with the 68RFE tables mapped in the file since they have a separate TCM for control? Link attached to example file..

Take a look at the discussion here on the difference between a Cummins OS and calibration, and why this sometimes happens.

The file you linked is Chrysler Calibration 32381232SB. It's an Aisin calibration.
I'm not sure what other tuners do, but I'm a firm believer in using a calibration meant for that exact truck. You can either verify by using the Cummins Calibration ID or looking up the Chrysler Calibration history.

Correct. I was just using it as an example showing it is an Aisin file but has all of the 68RFE tables mapped within. Just sparked curiosity as others are flashing trucks equipped with an Aisin transmission using a file built for a 68RFE. Seen the ghost transmission comment and that is what I was curious about. If any or what issues could potentially come with doing that.
