I finally finished a VE tune on this 2000 F-body with that we did a 408 ProCharged motor in. The VE tuning worked out awesome and definately boosted my confidence in Auto VE tuning.
After VE tuning I reintroduced the MAF and got it dialed in as best as possible. Mainly up to about 9000 hrtz. I then went back to the PE Modifier table and entered the desired AFR I wanted and through in one of my "starting" timing tables. I wanted to confirm the max values of the MAF as the AFR is going 10:0 as soon as the MAF is around 9800 hrtz. I tried leaning out the PE table but it didn't seem to make a dent into the AFR. It started at about 4K with only 4 lbs of boost.
I don't plan on spending too much time with this tune as I think its time to figure out the 2 bar custom OS stuff! My post was really to better understand the limits of MAF tuning. The car made 585 HP and 565 FTlbs on only 6.3 PSI and a 10:0 AFR. :Eyecrazy:
I'm I maxing the MAF? Also note the MAF hrtz between 4700 and up was between 10,500 and 12,437.....
Thanks
Howard
