On an August morning in 1978, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. The film was limited for technical reasons to 10 minutes; the course was from Porte Dauphine, through the Louvre, to the Basilica of Sacre Coeur.

No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit.

The driver completed the course in about 9 minutes, reaching nearly 140 MPH in some stretches. The footage reveals him running real red lights, nearly hitting real pedestrians, and driving the wrong way up real one-way streets.

Upon showing the film in public for the first time, Lelouch was arrested. He has never revealed the identity of the driver, and the film went underground until a DVD release a few years ago.

I dunno but that car seemed slow to me. If I went through the gears like that in the city they would be scraping me off the pavement.

Reminds me of the Getaway in Stockholm videos (which have gotten increasingly SUCKY-er as they progress)..

BTW, anyone know if "SUCKY-er" is a word ? LOL

...BTW, anyone know if "SUCKY-er" is a word ? LOLI think it's "suckier", isn't it...? :D

Because then you can extend that to "suckiest" for more extremer cases.

That looks to me to be a well video chopped and dubbed featurette.

Gee, when I first read the post I thought wow, some new Paris Hilton video that's been uncovered....part two of one night in Paris! Haven't seen the video yet but I'm sure it's better than Paris.

:D

**** the french........
http://www.cyberplace.org.nz/peace/nukenviro.html Yes, they have been pretty arrogant with their nuke program (why do they even need nukes...?).
Why can't they test nukes 1200 metres below Paris (France, not Hilton)...
Why do they have to kill Muroroa Atoll (and the surrounding islands)...?
