Thinking about getting V2 asap, but it says the cost is like $549 for upgrade minus $100?? What the heck, I thought it was $399 minus 100 for a total of $299?? Im confused here, but I cant afford $549.

Depends on when you bought V1. If you bought before Sept 18th, then it's 299. If you bought after (at the discounted "runout" price), then it's $449.

The special ll8 beta guys will have to contact Efilive store for that question. They would be able to answer your price question.

:exactly:

Ths online store has two different order forms for V1-V2 upgrades. In either form you must enter your serial number.

Your serial number is tied to a date of purchase so the appropriate upgrade price can be applied.

Thanks Jesse, I will check that out asap. BTW, those files you made are amazing man!!

I bought my V1.2 back in like May, so hopefully I get $299 pricing.:D

I was under the impression that the price for the V1 => V2 upgrade (If purchased during the runout) was going to be close to the price of V2 if purchased by it's self.... Now I see V2 is $749... Upgrade to V2 will be $998 ($549 runout price + $449 V2 Upgrade). OTOH, I guess if the V2 unit comes with 4 VIN Licenses (for those of us that upgraded), I guess that makes up for the difference...

Is anyone having trouble ordering? I have my account set up. Whenever I try to check out I get an error telling me to "Please enter your ship to zipcode". I have the zip code entered as part of my address. Also the only shipping method available is "email".

Is there any difference if I order V2 from EFILive directly or from a reseller like W4M?

Awesome! Am I correct in understanding that the custom OS mode is now included in the $749 base price, which still can tune 2 vehicles right off the bat?

Just a little thrown off by this down in the description (not sure what E40 is).
"Scheduled Enhancements (not included in the initial V2 release)
2 Bar Custom Operating Systems for E40 applications are currently in Beta test. It is
expected that this functionality will be released within weeks of the initial release."

E40 is the ls2 engine. It is just the computer name that it used. As for the $749 Yes, you are correct, The Personal version has been dropped and will no longer be sold. The main version is the commercial now. :) Yes you will have two open slots to tune AND you get the 97-98 unlmited stream for free, worth $1000 bucks! If you have any more questions please ask.

Nope. You might be able to get it a tad cheaper as we help with shipping costs. :)

Great, standalone PCM reading/flashing is probably 95% of my reason to get V2 asap + $100 off is a nice bonus too.:D

From memory the VX/VY Holden Commodore is based on a 99+ PCM so does that mean the 97/98 stream is useless to me if upgrading from v1?

Tordne
October 31st, 2006, 07:52 PM
Yup all Holdens used the 99+ PCM I think.

Your right, 97/98 are basically useless to us here in Australia. Great if you live in USA. How about a sweetener for us Aussies like maybe "Ls2". After all they are only in HSV's over here, so not that much of a market, or how many people actually have access to one. Just my 2c.

I hear you on the LS2 E40 option, as you say it is only available on a few vehicles, however...

The 97/98 support is not a "sweetener", its a thank-you. There is a reason for the 97/98 free deal. We asked people publicly for information to help us build support for the 97/98 PCM. And in return we promised to deliver free support for 97/98. While we did not get a lot of information from the general public, a few dedicated individuals pitched in and helped create the 97/98 support.

It was tempting to beckpedal on the offer and charge for it anyway since EFILive did most of the work, but we honored our promise, (even through to FlashScan V2) and kept the 97/98 support free.

Regards
Paul

I understand where you are coming from, alot of R&D. But hey if you don't ask you'll never know.
p.s. If you change your mind just E-mail the stream code, I wont say no.:D
