We'll we haven't slept since we got back from SEMA, so if I make any spelling mistakes its because I can't get any more caffeine into me.
The first (small) batch of product boxes have been built and are being shipped today. We kept the firtst batch relatively small so that if any problems occurred in our new packing and shipping procedures it would not be a major P.I.T.A. to correct. We expect to ramp up the output tomorrow. It should take less than a week to clear the backlog in the EFILive store and to fulfill the bulk orders from our resellers. If all goes well we expect all orders to be completed and shipped before the end of next week.
Thanks everyone for being so patient and for your loyalty and support. We think you'll be pleased with your decision to wait for the best.
Now that we have a firm foundation in place, we will be building some really cool add-ons and other vehicle support for FlashScan. It will only get better from here.
I have seen a few questions asking when FlashScan will support stand-alone reading, flashing and logging. It will be implemented over the next couple of months and will be available as a free software and firmeare update around Jan/Feb 2007.
Check this forum every so often to keep up with the state of play.
Regards
Paul

That's great to hear. I have been waiting for V2 to come out to get started at my first venture into tunning.
While I did seriously look at the other guys I always felt EFI Live was a superior product and had much more to offer. I'm glad I waited.
This is my first post here and I have done alot of reading. Evan though there is a ton of stuff to learn, with all the knowledgable helpful people here it should be no problem.
Can't wait to start playing.

You can start playing now: download the software and run it in demo mode

I assume for the moment, it will be just like V1 with no standalone capabilities? If so, that's cool. I know you'll get around to the refinements.

Thanks guys, I just placed my order with W4M earlier today!
And, from what I have heard, yes, V2 will be almost exactly like V1 but will be upgraded with standalone stuff soon! I think I can wait a month or so for it!:D

Im new to the tuning world but am keen to learn. I downloaded EFILive a week ago and have been reading reading and reading and playing with it everyday. After a week I decided I had to buy it and put my order in on monday.
I was close to buying V1 but decided to go for the V2 instead. With extra features and stand alone flashing and reading that is coming up, it was hard to say no. I cant wait to get it!
Cheers,
Jez

Just got my V2 today :notacrook:
Got to say - one nice piece of hardware! I know what kind of work it is coding for those microcontrollers, and setting up all that menu stuff is lots of it!
Keep up the great work folks!
Btw, cool security feature with the Pin!

Now, if only I could actually put it to use ... car's in the garage for the winter, no battery ... can't even hook it up ...
Is it correct that all the "reserved" pages are the stuff that will show up some time next spring? :) Please in time for the new season!!!

Yes, those "reserved" pages will be activated with additional firmware updates. Those firmware updates will be free downloads.

Great to hear that, just thinking about that today as I flashed my TrailBlazer with a tune (changed some TCC settings).
Also, where are you going to put firmware upgrades to download, maybe just create another subcategory on the downloads page?:D
