I understand these things are Speed Density from factory ?:Eyecrazy:
At 291hp a well tuned LL8 IL6 might just keep up with a V8 .

The 02-05 models are SD, there is no MAF. Starting in late 05, GM redesigned the LL8 (lots of internal changes too, I mean a LOT) and added a MAF. These are the LL8s making 291hp/277tq, the older ones make 275/275 (03-05) and 270/275 (02).

As for them keeping up with a V8, been there done that tons of times. :D

Great info there ScarabEpic22 , I did look and by God it does have a MAF .
From what I have been told V2 can not even do the 06 TB at present but maybe by next year .

No prob, I was under the impression V2 *could* do 06 TBs out of the box, but I might be wrong. I dont have one (and if I did it would be an SS [LS2]), so it doesnt affect me.

Might be right , SS oh yeah , zoom , zoom .
I going to wait for V2 to mature before getting it , never get first year of anything , just a thing I have . ;)

Yeah, well I try to be that way but my TB is an 02 (first year) and I had an old 89 Jeep GC (first year with ABS). Blew threw 3 (or 4) sets of brakes (rotors and pads) before giving up and getting a Jimmy. No problems with my TB that are major, just small things that are still occuring on 07 TBs (GM cant figure a few things out, like the stuipd fan clutch).

And, since V2 is firmware upgradeable, Im not worried as I should be able to just load a new OS to it like I can my mp3 players.

My theroy is let other people be the guinea pigs , I don't mind being a beta tester and have been for some software companies .
Yeah , I bought the first year of the new Ford F150's , will not do that again , vibrated at 2500 rpm no matter what gear , Dealership would not even try to fix , "said we are aware of the problem , but is not a problem it a characteristic flaw of the truck ".

Yep, I was a beta tester for the I6 and thought what the heck, I will be a guinea pig for V2 as well!
