Causing back firing and and a engine miss.
Did continuity checks from Pin 60(PCM) to Pin B (ign coil #5) = continuity
Did continuity Checks from Pin 56(PCM) to Pin C (ign coil #5) = continuity
Checked for shorts to ground for both Pins = No shorts.
I put everything back on the car, ran great till the third shift at redline . It started to misfire and back fire out the exhaust. Throws code P0355.
I double checked everything again I then even switched a coil , plug and plug wire just for giggles. Didn't change a thing it still gets P0355 ign control circuit.
I am guessing the PCM is the culprit since the ign control circuit is in the PCM (right or wrong). But before I purchase a new PCM anything else I should check?
The car is a 98 camaro with the 98 operating system still.
