How to get efi live to work ?

I keep getting an error message err_file/90
it is telling me that it cannot find a vin.ini file. how do i get this file entered into the configuration folder. i have installed the tool and found the new hardware, but cannot get to the page to enter the vin number and version of the tool. can anyone help? u can also ring me so i can walk through it 252-430-9581

That file should have been installed with the rest of the software. By default it goes to your 'C:\Program Files\EFILive\V7\Configuration' folder.

Have you moved any of the default folders, or changed their locations?

also it is a windows error, so i'm reformatting and reloading win xp pro and going from their. but on the other hand, on my new laptop, i still can't get the efilive software to work at all. it will not let me upgrade to a scan and program tool. no, i have not moved anything. only deleted it about 15 times and reloaded it, trying to get it to work.

Also try deleting the 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EFILive' registry tree as well.
