Can I load this PCM using EFI LIVE Commercial ?

If I can What should I be looking out for ? PATS , VIN number etc?:nixweiss:

If you are just replacing your PCM, just install it, and full flash your last tune into it.

TAQ, this is a blank PCM ... no old OS on it yet most likely ...
Though, building a bench programmer isn't actually that hard if you can get ahold of a socket ...

The question is more to the point, will an upload even work in the car if the PCM is completely empty ...

Yes this is blank PCM coming from GM.

The question is more to the point, will an upload even work in the car if the PCM is completely empty ...

Guys,
the PCM is shipped from GM with the necessary info in it to communicate with the outside world. Hook up EFILive to it just as TA said and do a full flash with your last good tune. This will install the Operating System and your calibrations. Then perform a VAT relink and your good to go.

Well it is in and reflashed . After all those scary warning signs . I was about to say fugg it. Now I am happy.

Garry you bet that I will attend one of those sessions in January , weather permitting.
