I was setting up my V1 for black box, and it under the PID selection list, it says I have 29 Channels and 20 PIDs selected. Looking at the list, I have 8 PIDS selected, totalling 13 channels. Here is a shot of the PIDs I have selected:

Any ideas?
Edit: What do you do with the maps? I can't figure that out...

Cougar,
I don't see the pic...
Some things to check:
- is the VIN/OS/Trans shown on the bottom of the scan tool window correct...?
- have you validated the pids (Info->Validate PIDs)...?
What are the maps for...?
They are for arranging/formating the display of data to look for patterns or for using to modify tables in the tune;
for example, the AutoVE procedure uses a map to arrange the data in the same identical format for the VE table;
same thing when calibrating the MAF table;
or you can create your own maps (you define what pids drive the axis's) view patterns; for example I do this for GEAR viewed as RPM vs MPH.

Cougar,
I don't see the pic...
That's odd... It shows up for me on a PC that's not on my network...
Anyway, the PIDs I have selected are ECT, RPM, IAT, Main Injection Timing, Main Injection On Time, Pilot Injection On Time, Pilot Injection Timing, and VSS.
Yes, the VIN shows up properlyat the bottom, and the PIDs have been validated.

I think I figured it out... I'm stoopid! :Eyecrazy:
Had the "Default Metric" PID set selected... Changed it to "Duramax Imperial" and it looks better...

I must be stoopider than I thought... I got the PIDS programmed, but when I try to BB Log, it doesn't log. the Log light comes on, but data isn't recorded. I re-validated all the PIDs. I've done it before, and don't think I'm doing anything different this time. Any ideas?

It is possible that you have non-valid PIDs selected. Those selected PIDs won't show up if you have the [Supported] check box checked.
Uncheck the [SUpported] checkbox to see if any other PIDs are selected that you were not aware of. If so, unselect them.

Paul

I checked for unsupported PIDs (unchecked the box) and none where selected. Would the Actual boost (calculated) be considered invalid and prevent BB Logging? Just out of curiosity, why didn't the BB Logging feature get programmed to ignore invalid PIDs and record the valid ones instead of ignoring it all?
