I'm considering a PLX wideband as it appears to be the easiest to install in place of an existing sensor. I have an 05 CTS-V w/LS6 and it appears I have 2 sets of narrowband sensors, before and after the CATS. I know I want the wideband before the CAT.

Is this normal and is anyone else running a wideband in place of an existing sensor?

If you are wanting to keep the stock sensors for LTFT etc then you are better off getting an extra bung welded into the exhaust.

Some of us experimental types use the WB in place of the NB. The LC1 acts as NB and WB so you can remove the stock sensor and use its power, ground and signal cables as well as location. The voltage looks a bit weirder, but switches ok. Over a couple of hours driving both banks were exactly the same so its pretty accurate too.

For you guys running GTO's or Aussie guys with commodore variants, where are you running the wiring into the cabin. I have the extra bung wleded in for the WB but im undecided where to run the wiring and how to get it into the cabin.

My car is an M6 and I use a PLX M-250 wideband. I didn't do the install myself, which is why it is so nice ;)

Basically the controller is installed nice and tight (out of the way) in the glove box. The cables from what I can gather come up through the transmission tunnel and up through the runner boot of the gear shift mechanism. The cables which plug into the EXT of FlashScan (and the OBDII cable) come out into the center console compartment between the front seats.

Works real well!

Same here, except mine is a home installed bodge. Only thing you can see is 2 wires and a connector out of the console for input to FC unit.
Run all the wiring up past the trans in the side of the rubber boot and wrap excess length around the shifter.
