I've been trying to get my VE and Boost VE in tune for the last week and I'm not having any luck. I'm sure I must not have something set up correctly but I've been through the Auto Ve tutorial several times double checking myself but I can't fine the problem.:help2:

I'm using COS 0202003 with a 2 bar map sensor and V1.

So a few things I've noticed but don't know what to make of them:

1. I don't have a (B3605)"commanded fuel when in open loop" does this matter?

2. The more logs that I record then "paste and multiply with labels" the leaner my AFR gets :Eyecrazy:

3. If I go to "dashboard B" and highlight a section (I am looking @ AFR) then go to the boost or primary VE the Kpa doesn't correspond, only the RPM does:nixweiss:

Is all of this normal? I be in all honestly I've made 20 different logs and I don't think I'm any closer than when I started.

Please help,

Bill

Instead of b3605 you will have B3647. I am not sure if in cos3 you will have semi open loop like in cos5 but it sure sounds like it.Set the table to 14.7 in the unenriched areas & log the trims to see if they are skewing your readings.

OS5 is basically OS3 with some extra fruit, so it absolutely has Semi-Open Loop.

Thanks for clearing that up Tordne. I thought that was the case but I wasnt sure.
It sounds like the Autove tutorial needs modifying for the custom operating systems. These same questions keep popping up every week.(I asked myself a few weeks ago).

I do have table B3647 and I have it set up just like it shows in the tutorial basically 1.00 for everything up to 90kPa, 1.06 for 95kPa, 1.13 for RPMs 0-1200 @ 100kPa and 1.17 for RPMs 1600-8000.

So should the ones that aren't 1 be set to 1?

Any other ideas?

3. If I go to "dashboard B" and highlight a section (I am looking @ AFR) then go to the boost or primary VE the Kpa doesn't correspond, only the RPM does:nixweiss:l

Right click your map pid and make sure the default setting is the same as your tune ie: metric or imperial.

Thanks purrvert, that knocked #3 off my list. I didn't know you could do that, I guess I have more reading to do.
