Hello all and happy holidays!

I just received my FlashScan V2 last week and I am reading the forms like crazy to help me get started.

When tuning a stock GEN III engine, what level of performance improvement can be realized on average? I know every motor is different and it also depends on the skills of the tuner, but in an ideal world, what can one expect for a % HP and TQ improvement on just a tune alone. How close is a GM tune on a stock motor?

If anyone has some before and after experiences, could you please share them or point me in the direction of an existing thread.

Thanks so much for any input you may have.

Nate

Stock motors typically have 5-10hp hiding in them. It's mostly because they come fairly rich from the factory. I'd suggest getting a wideband to go along with the V2 you just picked up and work on getting your AFR up to a more respectable number (like 12.5:1). That should get you a few extra ponies. :)

I gained .2 on the Quarter and got rid of some hesitation ...
