HI There.

I have been reading everything with regards to installing the USB drivers for V1 and V2.

I would like to upgrade my V1 interface to V2.

Iam having a few drama's with the USB driver install.

Upon connecting V2 and installing the usb driver Iam getting the following message.

The file FTD2xx sys. on FTDI ftd2xx drivers disk is needed.

Type the file path where the file is located, click ok.

Yes have read all the instructions and a bit more. Then read them again and again.

Have completely uninstalled all drivers and software and started from scratch twice.

Have the same drama when trying to install the drivers for V1 as well, since a full reinstall of software.

Not much hair left on my head, would like to sort this out before I go bauld.

I have seen this before but can't remember what I did to get beyond it.

Any thoughts....?

Cheers

Mick

Basically you need to install the drivers correctly for the device (either V1 or V2). The drivers and some instructions can be found HERE (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?p=20408#post20408). I don't think you need to do Step 13 anymore.

Also have a look at THIS POST (http://forum.efilive.com/showpost.php?p=36714&postcount=2), it relates to a RoadRunner driver install but the steps in Device Manager are similar.

I suggest extracting the drivers to the Desktop as that way they are easy to find :)

I just sorted it on my net pc with no dramas.

Allready have roadrunner going.

Hummmm laptop still has the drama with the ftd2xx.sys. file not found.

I will look at this some more.

Thanks for the links

Merry Xmas
