And it has an output ground and output power. I'm assuming they go into the smaller of the two orange plugs that go into the side of the box, but does it matter which one goes in which hole in the plug? Cuz nothing is labeled positive and negative, so I just wanna make sure that it doesn't matter and that that is the right way to hook it in.

Was part way through typing a reply and then it dawned on me :)

Open the Scan Tool and choose Help->Help Contents (F1)

Search for 'AD1' and you'll see the pin outs for both V1 and V2 ;)
