Is there a detailed write-up out there to compare V1 to V2?

I bought my V1 late last year so I didn't pay much attention to V2. I also thought V2 was purely stand-alone and didn't work with the software I am using with V1. Now that I know that V2 will eventually work stand-alone, but still does passthrough, I am keenly interested.

One of the features that has piqued my interest is the ability to set alarms. I can already envision the usefulness of a KR alarm and possibly an AFR alarm from my LC1. How well do the alarms work? Are they loud? What kind of filtration can you put on them (e.g., could I set an alarm to ring ONLY if TP% > 90% AND AFR > 12.5:1?)

Any other cool reasons to pony up the extra cashola for a V2 upgrade? I have been looking for an elegant solution to the KR alarm situation (boosted 2003 Z06) and I haven't been able to find a great one yet. The Interceptor gauges are nice, but I don't want an extra gauge, and I don't want to have to swap between scan/tune cables and the interceptor cable ever...

Taken from the main EFILive website...

FlashScan V2 (http://www.efilive.com/overview_flash2.aspx)
FlashScan V1 (http://www.efilive.com/overview_flash1.aspx)

Licensing is obviously different in V2 with the concept of streams based licensing.

I believe you will eb able to view PIDs on the LCD display (I've heard up to 4 at once), as wel as having an audible alarm to trigger on KR for instance.

The ability to black-box log to larger internal memory, and also to SD cards (up to 2GB). This storage card can also hold tunes as well.

All up, this is just a totally awesome device. When you upgrade it seems you get an extra couple of VIN licenses as well, which makes the actual hardware even cheaper

Methinks pre CAN and post CAN - as well as gasoline, or "other" burnable goop fluid just about sums the division between V1 & V2...

VERY cool! Thanks!

I noticed that the V2 unit supports more inputs -- this is awesome, and would allow me to eventually start logging boost and fuel pressure in addition to AFR, which I already log. Both would be excellent for tuning and troubleshooting.

Tordne, I was playing with my V2 yesterday and it had the option somewhere to show 4, 8, 12, or 16 PIDs on the screen...
