That looks pretty good.

The high unhit areas will never be hit, so you can "modify" those by hand to give a nice smooth blended continous surface.

The DFCO stuff didn't work last time I checked. I may have not been available in our early OS's.

So the upper RPM ranges are pretty much untouched and don't matter .
I was going to do some Line Graph View hand smoothng and call it good .

OK. I'll share in a new thread. Black02SS and I some time ago developed a spreadsheet that does interpolation on the BEN factors that you log. The effect of this is that is smooths the peaks etc. that you get in a normal log.

I have shown this process to joecar and a couple of others and as you can see from his it is looking pretty nice also!

I'll make some changes to the sheet and then post it up in the Tips and Tricks section.

You developed a spreadsheet (as in Excel) that interpolates or a custom .pid/map that interpolates? What's keeping this from being in the scanner? If the scanner could interpolate the same way the PCM does, that would make a world of difference! RAFIG, VE, MAF, etc!

I HERE BY DECLARE THIS IS A REQUIREMENT FOR THE NEXT RELEASE!!! :)

No , not yet , going to get my MS Office CD back from neighbor and do the Spreadsheet with it and compare before putting into tune file .
Will post BEN data in the next few days .

FYI , just for the record OO Calc does work as MSO , pasted the same values into MSO and the Interpolated values are the same .

Did some tinkering and used the "smooth" feature in Flash Tool and came up with the exact same VE values as the Interpolated one .
So one can use the Smoothing feature in the Flash Tool and come up with the same Values .
Just an observation , Spreadsheet works but so does Smoothing in Flash Tool. :Eyecrazy:

The smoothing in the Tune Tool does work very well, I always start with a smoothed table. You can find though that that certain points of the table get increased/decreased more than is desirable, unless you are smoothing individual areas basically by hand...

The Spreadsheet is much easier , I was just playing around and tried the Flash Tool smoothing and was amazed it did just as well and true I did do some of it in sections to achieve the same results .
