Ladies and Gentlemen,
After a long wait, the first EFILive training course is finally scheduled to happen in California at the EFI University headquarters.
The course will be one day, and will give new users an in-depth look at setting up and using the EFILive software and hardware.
The class will cover all the basic software installation, set-up, funationality, how to scan and log, how to make changes to maps, uploading and downloading, as well as how to create data "Maps" from log files, PID selection criteria, creating PID groups,Validating PIDs, setting up the analog inputs, using the "BEN" factors, special key functions, understanding Bi-Di controls, Road Runner usage, Creating Custom Dashboards, Black-Box Logging and much more.
This class is solely to help people understand how to more effectively use the EFILive products, and IS NOT INTENDED TO TEACH THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ENGINE TUNING.
Very little time will be spent answering questions about choosing the correct A/F ratios, and ignition timing values.
It is recommended that you take the EFI 101 course to learn more about how engines should be tuned, and use this course for getting the most out of your EFILive systems.
This class will be in a "lead - and - follow" arrangement, where students will bring thier own laptop and the latest version of EFILive software and participate by duplicating the actions of the instructor.
The plan is hold the first course at our facility in SoCal, then try to hold one course per month at various places around the country.
If all goes well, we may attempt to organize courses in other parts of the world as well.
Cost for the course will be set at $349 retail, and we will be offering early registration discounts of up to $49 for those who can sign up ahead of time by about a month or so.
We are plannig on Saturday, March 10th 2007 for the first class.
More info will be posted here and on our website over the next few days, so stay tuned!
-Ben
