Swap 06 pcm for 05 pcm??

can this be done?? right now my buddy has an 05 truck with an EFILIVE Custom OS and SD tune and hes wanting to pull all of his mods and put them on an 06 truck, but i cant do a Custom Operating system to the 06,

Question is, can i swap an 05 pcm in his 06 truck??

05-07(classic) truck PCMs share the same P/N.

Edit: I've been wondering this myself for the past many months... I'll be attempting it on Feb 10th.

Amongst all the other things happening, we are trying to update the custom O.S's upto the 07 models. Not sure on how much of a rush he is in, but they are in the works. There unfortunately is quite a number of 05/06/07 O.S though :Eyecrazy:

Well, we 'might' need to tone down the custom O.S #3 for the 2006/2007, I'm not sure there is actually going to be enough spare space in the PCM Flash chip to fit all the tables in. We'll see how it goes.

I'd have no problem if you blew away B3648 to make it happen. ;)
