is there a setting for the analog outputs that needs to be adjusted for the lc1?
my v2 and lc1 do not show the same afr.
the logworks shows 14.3 average and the v2 is showing 11.2 average.
i have heard the lc1 has problems with the analog outs so i want to know
if there are v2 settings i should look into before i start to complain about
my lc1 for it is new.
what should my analog voltage be?

With a screen name like that, you've got to be a charter member of LS1tech.
I'm not sure, but I think the problem you're having is a consequence of LC1 values not being consistent from unit to unit. I've been using an LM1 for quite a while and it will read incorrectly unless I change the values in the sae_generic.txt file in the Configurations folder. If you do a search on LC1, you should find an answer.

Mr.Prick,
There are 2 ways to go:
a. program the LC-1 to match the calculated pid you're using, or
b. create a new calculated pid to match your LC-1's voltage-AFR points.
Do you know what AFR 0V and 5V correspond to...?

0v=7.39afr
5v=22.35afr
the lc1 logworks shows the correct afr and the analog output shows an incorrect afr and the voltage is never steady, it fluctuates even without the car running.
i am using the 2 right out of the box and the v2 has default settings for the lc1.

If the voltage is not steady, you may have power/ground connection problems.
Does the LED (connected between LC-1 black and white) stay on steady (after first flashing for 20s)...?
If the LM Programmer software doesn't connect to the LC-1, check that you plugged in the terminator into SERIAL IN on the LC-1.

Have you programmed the V2 unit with a known voltage?
In the scan tool it is under the Flashscan menu.
I had to do that with mine to bring it in line with the V1.
My output is still very jagged compared to the V1, but I'm attributing that to a couple of possible causes. Output smoothing not enabled in the LC1 controller, and/or the V2 possibly has a higher sampling rate than the V1.

The important thing with my situation is that the fluctuation I see with the V2 is very consistent, yielding BEN factors that are stable within 25-30 cell counts.
I'm still trying to find my elusive terminal plug so I can program the controller... Probably going to have to order a new one. :frown:

my voltage shows 0v=7.39afr on the data page.
how do i change the way the v2 translates voltage to read
0v=22.39afr and 5v 7.35afr.
the logworks shows my afr correctly but the v2 is showing
the opposite voltage to afr ratio.

i changed my lc1 to put out the correct voltage for the v2 to read rich and lean .
but now the v2 reads slightly leaner than the lc1 is.
what do i do to counter this?

The classic solution is to program the LC1 to output 0.5V for all AFRs and then to put out 4.5V for all AFRs and see what the V2 reports. Then make a PID that has the line matching the reported numbers. The world of analog outputs and analog inputs is often not as perfect as it should be.

yes i had some ground offsets and i solved that problem , but the two still are not in sync with each other.

Mr prick, as DC Justin has suggested, have you calibrated the V2 voltages in the V2 control panel of the scan tool, I can't see anywhere in this thread that would suggest that you have done that yet. If the AFR readings are only slightly out, that could also be your problem.

i have fixed the voltage irregularites, but the v2 is showing about 1.00 afr
difference than the lc1 is showing in the logworks.
i have programed the analog output to show 0v=7.35 and 5v=22.39.
i think i need to reconfigure the lc1 pid to be 0v=22.39 and 5v=7.35, but i don`t know how thats done or what values to type in place.
no i have not calibrated the voltages through the v2 control panel
i am do not know how to.

thanksDoes your DMM/voltmeter show the same voltage as the ScanTool/V2...?
Is your LC-1 programmed like this: 0V=7.35 and 5V=22.39 (positive slope)...?
Then your calc pid should be {EXT.ADn} * 3.008 + 7.35 which is already provided as a builtin calc pid: CALC.AFR_LC11 and CALC.AFR_LC12.
If you're using those calc pids, you do not need to program a reverse slope.
Does your V2 need to have it's analog inputs calibated, see steps 0 thru 9 in post #4: showthread.php?p=41412#post41412 (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?p=41412#post41412)
