Tune locked, can't read?

Ok, I know I'm doing something wrong...

Ignition on

plug in V2 to DTC

Connect V2 to PC

Run "Tuner" software.

Can't see cord. Run status and it says, I see it and I'm ready to go.

Tell it to download current tune.

Says Tune is "Locked" and disconnects.












Switch to "Scan" program. Pulls VIN, verifies PIDs and records short test. From this, I conclude the cord is just fine.

Cord and interface set to "05+ GEN-IV(E40)"

So, what's with the locked tune crap? 2007 Corvette LS2 engine.

May I assume that means I cannot tune this device and my expense to upgrade to V2 did not do what I had planned?

Somewhat. If it is a E38 PCM it is not yet supported by EFILive, but will be here in the very near future. You will be able to tune the Vette, but not at this moment.
