Haven't done any auto VE tuneing with CO3 before, done a few mods and would like to check the tune.

OK the tutorial gives a setup for table {B3605} which does not exist in CO3, so I take it we need to modify table {B3647} instead, op sys does not have {B3649} (01290003)

So how do we set up {B3647} for auto VE ?

set it to anything other than 1.00 (EQ) or 14.63 (AFR). Mine is a little agressive, but i was aiming for a nice smooth transition from vacuum to boost. My PE is set to 11.65 AFR from 2400RPM and higher. Here is how my 3647 looks....

Do you have it set up like this in your auto VE tune file as well as your final tune ?

Just after a safe setup for the Auto VE process as PE {B3618} is set at 14.63 as per tutorial.:nixweiss:

I am going to stay in SD open loop, so this will be my final tune.
I am trying to AutoVE my boost areas as well, so i dont want my B3618 to be 14.63 otherwise I might go boom. Can you post some details about your vehicle? Are you boosted?

Just heads and cam ,and all boltons at moment, but 3/4s of the way through a single turbo build.

14.63 is way to lean for my WOT stuff aswell.
in a std operating system safe AFRs are set up in {B3605} for the purpose of VE tuneing, but this table does not exist in CO3.

So do we put safe figures in {B3618} and use PE or modify {B3647} to give safe AFRs at WOT for the purpose of dialing in VE ?

The purpose of B3647 is to allow you to command the mixture you want for any given RPM/MAP. The table Whippled posted appears to be a safe starting point.
