Is there a way I can make my truck just blow black smoke and not make a bunch of power where it will destroy the tranny? Im installing dsp2 this week and wanted to use the switch for the smoke tune. I have a 03 dually with straight pipe if that matters.

Remove boost and timing. You can add fuel. You'll need to watch the EGT's though. I recommend doing all these steps with small changes at a time.

I am looking to do the same but not sure if I need to remove boost and timing from the stock tune or the dsp tables?

Whatever tune you want it to happen in, probably one of the DSP tunes would make more sense.

with a lb7 we do not have a vvt to work with so boost settings wont do anything... if you want a tune that blows a bunch of smoke has near no power and runs very high egts you can set the tune up to have fueling (2300pw would be enough) and set all the timing past 70mm3 to say 0...lol this will make smoke. OR if you would just like to have more smoke mainly on spoolup you can go into you maf flow rate (under airflow) and go 10% up in voltages past 2. Hope this helps a little...just remember egts will be high.
