I have been patiently waiting for mid February to come around so that the standalone feature would be released. And as my girlfriend pointed out a few days ago when I forgot to get her anything that mid February has passed. I am getting tired of lugging my desktop out to the shop to do some tuning. Is there any up date on a release or is it time for me to unplug this box again and start the trip back to the shop.:help2:

VanDykeben,
Welcome to the forum...
My understanding is soon.
(There's a tradeoff between having it now and having quality... that's generally how software just is...)
I know, I'm also getting pretty tired of lugging my laptop everyplace I go...
You're very lucky, your girlfriend allowed you to live... :D
Cheers
Joe

She must be understanding, not to many have survived that experience.
Cheers Scotty.

Any word on a time frame when V2 will have the ability to standalone scan?

I think I remember Tordne saying ~Q2 2007, or May/June-ish. I may be wrong though.

It is scheduled for Q1 2007. Theoretically, that's before the end of March.
EFILive currently is working on two projects simultaneously, LS2 E38 support and standalone blackbox logging and flashing. The BB logging and flashing is being dovetailed with Autocal development so that both systems (FlashScan and AutoCal) are compatible and will work seamlessly together. You should expect to see publicly available test code for black box logging towards the end of March and reading/flashing soon after.

COOL! With the ground offset in the v2 being more of an issue that will be most excellent Sir.
Does E38 mean E67 as well? (hehe)
Finally my lecture this week was how come I got not only the day of my girlfriends birthday wrong, but also the year and the month! Both my guess and the actual month started with a "J" and were 4 letters long so I thought I was close.. :)

Sweet!
Even earlier than I hoped for!! I cant wait for AutoCal to come out, it should really be a great tool for tuners to send to customers.

Im sitting on my hands for this one, it will be amazing when released, but EFILive does it right the first time and doesnt rush things. Im impatient, but for something like this I would rather wait vs frying my V2 or my truck!

Tell your girlfriend it's no big deal. My birthday is also in a month that is four letters long and begins with a "J" and you forgot it as well. I'm not upset. Why should she be??

When you're at the chemist tryng to fill a prescription and you're confronted with your daughter's date of birth written as: 20701, its gotta be a trick question, right? To any competent dad, that could have been July 2nd or July 20, or even February 07 - who's to know? :nixweiss:

For those of us who don't speak "Australian", please explain whether a "chemist" is a registered pharmacist, or some guy in his basement selling pharmaceuticals.

A Chemist in that context, is a Pharmacist.
Chemists with a sense of humour call themselves drug dealers, which I guess they are, literally.
