Please help. I was going to order the V2 tuning software, but I dont know what I should do. Can anyone help me understand what I can do to learn the program so I can use it well?

Hopefully, you won't be offended if I try and clean this up a little.

The way most of us learned to use the software was by reading as much as we can both here and over at www.ls1tech.com/forums (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums). There are tutorials that come with the software, permanent threads (stickies) in the forums with a lot of information, and lots of people who will help you in the process. Your time is the biggest investment needed. Money only gets you started. :)

Hassan,

Do this:
- Read the user manual PDF's for the Scan Tool and Tune Tool.
- Use the EFILive Scan Tool to log parameters, get comfortable with how your vehicle runs, try various parameters, create maps;
- Use the EFILive Tune Tool to read the flash from the PCM, and look at the various tables, correlate these with the Scan Tool logs;
- Read the sticky posts in the tuning/PCM section on www.ls1tech.com (http://www.ls1tech.com), as Jeff said;
- Read the Auto VE tutorial PDF, found here: http://download.efilive.com/tutorials/PDF/AutoVE%20Tuning%20Tutorial.pdf
- Read other tutorials, found here: http://www.efilive.com/download.aspx#downloads6
- Get a GM service manaul for your car, and read the various descriptions in the engine managment sections (PCM, sensors, fuel trims, fuel delivery, idle control, etc...).

you're absolutely right,
the information presented on this forum is more than enough to get anyone started, providing they can read and understand english.
