Truck in question is a 98 Chev Full Size with a 5.7 litre vortec engine. I use my EFI Live for my 06 Duramax. I tried hooking upto the 98 today and checked but i only noticed engine code data. Is there a way to check the air bad codes?? Light has only been on for about 4 years now. :notacrook:

That is going to be a function of the Body Control Module (BCM) which we don't communicate with

10-4. As I said it's been on for like 4 years now so it's obviously not a big concern for me.

I had a dash code in a VZ ls1 Commodore.

After I read the tune off the PCM, EfiLive does some sort of system code clear, dash code was no longer there.:D

Obviously, if the dash still had a problem, the code would have reappeared. It didnt show its ugly face and I made one happy VZ owner (didn't charge him)

I wonder if it would do the same for Airbag codes, ABS, SRS etc.....???????

Just thinking, if the AirB though a code at some stage, but is ok now and needs a reset???

Paul?
Ross?
anyone?

The scan tool may be able to collect DTC from all the modules on the Class 2 bus on some vehicle models...

but I understand other vehicle models have a secondary "bridge" bus and the scan tool cannot communicate with modules on this.

Would be nice to list what models/OS/PCM/Car lines CAN get this data...

06bowtie,

In your scan tool go Edit->Properties->Avanced and checkmark Check/Clear DTC's for all modules.

After doing that, you may want to exit the scan tool and restart it and then go
Info->Retrieve all test results and then Info->Diagnostic trouble codes.
