I'd love to be able to make this one, but, it's the same weekend as the EFI-101 class that's being held in Illinois, and I feel I should take the 101 class before the EFIlive specific class. :bash:
Ah well, maybe some other time.

Well, if you're eager to jump into the course, the following weekend (May 12th) there is a class scheduled in North Richland Hills, TX (DFW region). Hope to see you at one of them.

Tough call! This class is not such much about tuning but more about the use and navigating around the software. EFI-101 is the basics to understanding math and concept of tuning. I don't think you would be real lost in this class if you currently have the software.

Eh, I'd like to do that, but, two weekends in a row probably isn't possible for me. I'll hold out for one closer to me at a later date. *sigh....* :frown:

Are there prerequisites for this course? Do you need other courses under your belt to take this? Listing the course is nice but...
I was in training with AT&T and you guys need to publish a class plan somewhere. The order that you take a course has a bearing on the class result. If a total virgin takes a 3rd level class, the student will be lost and probably drag back on the progress of the training for others in the class. After a lot of sleuthing, I conclude that the class is in Albany but that is being deductive and not from reading it in the class description.

The class is about the use of the software and not so much about the theory of tuning and how to tune. Obviously as part of explaining the software, tuning will play a role in how to use the software but is not the primary focus. Anyone who currently has EFI Live and wants to know more about how to properly use the software is welcome to attend. A good portion of this class is dedicated to the logging capabilites as this is where the information is obtained to make a tune move.
I would have killed to have a class like this 2.5 years ago when I started with EFI Live as it would have really sped up the learning curve. We currently have two other well know East coast tuners coming just to show you that you can never know enough about it!

Is there a class schedule for locations? Just wondering when/where a class might be close enough for me to attend.

Do you have to take the EFILive class before taking the EFI 101 course ?
I would go for the EFI101 Course .

The EFILive course is not a pre-requisite to the 101 course. Do not expect to get EFILive specific training from 101 though, as it deals entirely with Fuel Injection and tuning principles, rather than specific manufacturers.

Closest class on the schedule for you right now would be the one in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Potentially there may be one closer at a later date, but it has not been scheduled yet.
