I have a 4L60-E automatic overdrive transmission that was originally
hooked up to a throttle body 4.3L V6 chevy engine. I replaced the engine with a 350 with a Holley 4160-4-barrel carb. I would like to continue to use
the original transmission. This transmission is electronically controlled
and has no cable to "kick down" the transmission. I am told that the Holley carb will cause serious damage on electronic overdrive transmissions. I found one module from Jet that completely controls the transmission, but it was quite pricey. Do you know of any (under $1000) transmission control modules that will allow me to use a carb with the 4L60-E? Let me know, I'm dying to know. Other places I've checked (to no avail) are: Painless wiring and TCI.

Thanks,
Jim B.

Could be tricky because most stand alone TCM's expect to see an ECM.
The only other option is some of the earlier (80's/90's) Diesel engines used a stand alone TCM, but reprogramming them might be a problem.

TCI does have a contoller, but it would require that you adapt a throttle position sensor to the carb...I believe they have kits for this as well, or at least someone makes them. The controllers are pricy though, almost $700

Just noticed the TPS adapter is at the bottom of that web page as well.
