Since there isn't a software area (no one has problems maybe?) I'll post this here, if there's a better spot please move it.
Here's the deal. I can't get 7.33 or 7.41 to install. 7.32 installs fine. Whenever I try with the newer versions I get "this installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can acess it, or contact the app vendpor to verify this is a valid windows installer package."
I installed XP sp2, the newest windows installer I can find (3.1) and I can't think of anything else that I can do on my end to make it work.

I also downloaded both files several times to be sure it wasn't a problem with the files.

Odd. I finally moved it and renamed the folder and then it installed...

Is it possible the file you downloaded was originally saved on a shared or network folder/drive? Sometimes windows grants different permissions to file/folder accesses when they are shared/networked. That can cause porblems like you decribed.

When you start the software, did you extract the contents first?

I can get the split zip file to download but none of the others. I keep getting a page moved or unavailable message. Is there a problem with the links for the split files ?

Sorry, its a problem with the file extensions which are *.zip_001, *.zip_002 etc. The web server has not been configured to allow downloads of files with those extensions. I'll get it fixed asap.

So this is the problem you PM'd me about obviously... I hadn't imagined that you'd need to download the split files. Most place sin Oz have good broadband :)

We are stuck in a shadow of the wireless connection on optic fibre cables. So much for Telstra moving forward in remote areas.

In the mean time... I can right click on the links in the download thread and choose 'Save Link As'. That should work for you also I'm guessing.

I tried that as well & still get the site not found message. It must be some internet exploder thing if you can get it to work O.K. Then again if I click on the full version it directs me no problem.

Blacky, Jessy- I had downloaded it normally. Several times actually. When I extracted it I had just let it name it the same as the zip file (using winrar) and into the same folder the zip was in, since it defaulted there. I am thinking that was the problem, perhaps windows confused the zip and the folder... I moved it to my temp folder instead and renamed it just EFI and then it installed.
