Is EFILive going to do a write up on the AutoTune procedure? I have a little here and there but not a complete write up for FlashScan. I do have one using HPTuners that I will use if my WB comes in and I do not have one using FlashScan.

Thanks,
Bill

I'm slowly putting together some instructions for mineself...

From a post on LS2.com (http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=143837&highlight=enabl%2A+sd%2A+mode)
(with notes for efilive)
Speed Density tuning startup guide
Step by Step for SD tuning:

1: Unplug and replace MAF with a strait bellows (less airflow dispruption creates a better VE)

2: {C6002} Disable the SES lights for MAF codes P0101, P0102, P0103 (No check engine light.) Do not completely disable the codes or the PCM will not fall into SD mode. Only turn off the SES light, DO NOT DISABLE THE CODES THEMSELVES!

3: {B3605} Change all points to 1.13 in the Open Loop F/A vs ECT vs MAP table (commands AFR of 13.0)

4: {B4205} Change all points in the Closed Loop Enable Coolant Temp vs IAT table to 250* (Disables closed loop)

5: {B5913 - B5914} Copy High Octane table to the Low Octane Table (computer reverts to low octane table when MAF is unplugged, this assure optimal timing)

6: {B3618} Change all points in the Power Enrich Fuel Multiplier vs RPM table to 1.0 (disables PE mode)

And then....

Probably some dumb questions, but trying to get this figured out:

What if I did disable these codes completely? What "mode" will I be running in?

If I can't throw away MAF because I need my IAT, do I only change MAF Fail = 0, or do I also need to change Closed Loop Enable Temp = 260* as well?

Is there a PID that will tell me I am in SD?

I do not think there is a PID that tells you are running SD mode. It would be nice to have one.
