I posted this question in the LS1 specific area and did not get much results so I am trying here. Sorry for the multiple post but I greatly need the help. Also.. I am not looking for someone to do all my work for me... I just would like a help on to where I should start.

Hello everyone! I am nearing the finish line on my 02 Z28, I have done some substansial mods to it and I am looking for some info on what I need to look into altering in my tune. I am using EFI Live 7.3, and an LC1 Wideband and these are my mods I have done.

Comp Cams Cam 222-224 @ 050 w/ 566-568 lift
Comp Cams 1.8:1 Roller rockers
Comp Cams Behive Springs
Comp Cams Pushrods
Double roller timing chain
MSD Coils
MSD Wires
NGK Iridium plugs (2 steps colder than stock)
Dynatech Full length headers w/ 3" cats and Y-Pipe
Brand new front O2 sensors
High Flow fuel pump
60 Lb/Hr Injectors (these are for my future 427 but I am using them now)
SLP Lid
SLP Smooth Belows
SS-Style cold air hood
Granateli cold air MAF
Meziere Electric Water Pump
Stock Stat
Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-Back
SLP Underdrive Pully

I also have 2 stages of NOS, one wet and one dry. The dry is set at 75 HP, and the wet is at 150 HP.
I am not looking for any help with the N20 as I am just looking to get her up and running for now.

I have set up an AutoVE tune but I am a bit confused on how to use it. I have also deleted the AIR Injection and have removed the code enablers for that.

What would I need to tune and what would I change??
Any help you can give me would be great.
Thanks a TON!!!!!

Also.... Do I need to leave my AIR injection sensors pluged in or can I remove them completely?
Thanks again and sorry for the long post!

To start:

Throw out the granatelli maf and put in the stock maf.

Install a 180 stat and set your temp for about 190

Go to the Auto ve tutorial and read through

Go to the tuning strategy tutorial and read through

Others will need to comment on on non N/A tune issues but those two documents will get you started assuming you've read the tutorial on setting up cutom dashboards.

There are a couple of issues in the AutoVE tutorial.
Set your B3647 table to EQ not AFR and instead of where it says 14.70 AFR in the tutorial, type 1.0059
Add some decimal places.
Here, read this thread:

Hey all.... Thanks for the input! I have a new problem though.... I was advised to switch to COS 5 and so I did that and now I can not get my vehicle to stay running for anything. I try throttling it and that does nothing either. It starts but then imediatly dies whithin 1 second.
I plan on trying to reload the OS and double check that I have the correct OS but I havent a clue to whats going on beyond that????

Thanks again!

Some questions (in chronological order):
Did you start with OS 12212156 (your 02 Z28 should have come with this)...?
Did you have it running with 12212156...?
Did you first do a full-flash of 02020005...?
Did you then do a cal-only-flash from 12212156...?
Did you then read the flash into a file...?
Did you then edit the file to replace the out-of-range values with sane values...?
Did you then save the file and flash it back to the PCM...?

You would have needed to follow 2 documents:
1. the COS tutorial pdf: COS tutorial (http://download2.efilive.com/Tutorials/PDF/Custom%20OS%20Upgrade%20Tutorial.pdf)
2. the COS5 thread (tedious, but you must read it thru; take note of post #204): showthread.php?t=2599 (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=2599)

Are you getting any DTC's...?

Ok... I redid everything and now it runs for a moment or two and then dies... So were a little better than before! I am confused though as to what I should put for the values out of range???
Thanks again!

Those parameters have actual values greater than the max, but anything greater than the max is displayed as the max, and the tune tool will tell you that those parameters are out of range.

So, enter a value of max-1 or some other sane and sensible value, save the file and do cal-only flash.

And make sure that the TPS vs RPM VE table is initially disabled.

One last question though... I got COS 5 to clear all of the out of range values except for A0000 (set to Enable), and A0011 (set to N20 Monitor)
Why are these being reported out of range?
Thanks again

Do this:
1. set them to disable, save the file, exit the tune tool;
2. start the tune tool on the file;
3. set them to enable, save the file, exit the tool;

When you next open the file in the tune tool, they should be in range.
