that timing drop only appears only from a dead stop off idle launch...(frame 47)...
if i brake stall it up to say around 1500 and then launch it doesn't drop as much...i believe it slows the car a bit at only this spot...

my questions are these...

will raising the timing just in the cells (dyn cyl air vs rpms)that match the logs help this drop???

would it be located in the base spark in gear tables or high/low octane tables as well???

Most guys I know disable burst knock as it plays havok with stuff especially FI apps which will require it to be changed significantly in any case.
Its another bandaid.

i have the B5948 table all set to zero's...heck even the stock tables didn't have as much timing retard called for as what i am seeing...(20 degrees)

the absence of detected knock at the point of timing drop has me thinking unless it is on account of the various other air mass multipliers,(B5950,B5951,B5952,B5953,and B5954),then it might be a result of an auto transmission load already in place by the torque converter...

i have seen a stock gto log show a similiar drop at the same point...
of course since i have only seen only the two gto's logs since the use of this software, that might explain why that's all i know...:bash: :muahaha:

I've heard Jesse Bubb (wait4me) comment on the existence of a "Launch Spark Modifier" or something to that effect that reduces timing upon a rapid takeoff.
