1999 C5 A4. Total timing for WOT set at 26* but on the scan I'm seeing 8*. Engine temp was at 198* and outside temp at 90*. I don't see any timing being pulled in any of the offset tables and no KR.

Engine has Z06 heads with mild 218/220 cam on 114, lid and shorty headers. I have no earthly clue where to look but I did notice TCS will scrub alot of timing if left on.

This weekend I'll log again and scan all the pertenant spark pids but if anyone could shed any light, that would be cool!

Look at Burst Knock Retard - B6212, might be puling timing.

That will tell you what it is, using the spark PID's is really the only sure method to find the culprit. Usually it is a torque limiter of some sort.

Found the culprit. Timing was being pulled by B6611 (Max Torque by Gear). Torque was set to 360 ft lbs and we were making around 450. Set the limits to 500. across the board and it ran with a full 26* without KR. Needless to say, my customer friend was happy! :notacrook:
