Upgrading to V2 from V1....licenses

Is it possible to leave 1 unused license on my V1 box?
I want to leave my V1 in my truck and use V2 in my car.
Also, the truck computer isnt readable yet, havent hooked all the wiring up.
Will I have to burn the truck license into the V1 then leave it on there when I upgrade?

That would be the best solution. That way you get your truck licensed on both V1 and V2 because used licenses are duplicated on the V2 during the upgrade. You can just wire up the PCM as per this document in order to license it prior to upgarding to V2.
