I'm having problems with the cross over,Ive coped and pasted every thing i can,But i get a flashing check engine light (BUT) there's no code, Whats up with that. And between shifts (M6) i go extremely lean 19.5AFR but only between shifts ,at WOT my AFR is fluctuating from WB 12.2 to 12.9 ,The 2000 tune didn't do this at all it stade at 12.8 WB AFR and its the one i used to migrate over in the 2002 OS. I have the log file of a WOT run and the tuning files (2000) and (2002) OS. that has the 2000 OS in it. can some one look at this and tell me what the problem is. I just cant figure it out. I'm going to haft to put my 2000 tune file back in ,but i shore hate to. :nixweiss:

The '01 and '02 f-bodies used the "DFCO M6" where as prior years didn't based on the stock tunes I have. So, DFCO turns on when you shift effectively cutting your injectors. That's why you have lean spikes during shifts.

If I have time later (really busy now), I'll see what I can tell from the logs.

So, I took a look. It looks like you copied over everything you changed - not everything you can. There are way more differences than what you have. For example, below is an example of a '99 A4 vs. an '02 A4. That's just to get all of the stock tables from the '99 OS over to the '02 OS. After copying everything over stock for stock, you go and update all of the tables that you modified.

Also, it appears you have a great deal of timing - especially at part throttle. A blinking SES light is usually an indicator of a missfire. I noticed you have the Missfire detection DTC disabled. But, I'm wondering if it's bugging out because the misfire tables weren't copied over??? :nixweiss:

I had to remove 0300 code, multi misfire because of my cam shaft ,this motor is not near stock, its a LS2 418cid. and nothing under the hood is stock ,the cam shaft is a Crane 250/266-650/650-112 and i never had a flashing ses light with my 2000 OS .I guess ill just put my 2000 OS back in till i figure out what I'm doing. here is a pic of my engine if would like to see it, and here is my 2000 OS tune that's in my car right now with no problem with flashing ses light. I pretty new at this ,i need a lot of learning to do. I can build the engines, but steal have a lot of learning on tuning ,There no body around here at home that dose tuning on these cars, so I'm on my own . :help2:

Thanks for the help. but you lost me.

I didn't mean to lose you. All I was saying was.....each and every table needs to be copied over from the old, stock, 2000 OS file to a new 2002 OS file. The huge list above was a list of every table that was different between a stock '99 file and a stock '02 file.

Once you get done copying everything stock for stock, then you go in and modify the tables for your setup. That way, you're starting from a stock '00 file (in an '02 OS).

So if I change the tables that you are showing like for example B0101,B4901,B0201 and so on,but for the 00 to 02 OS ,then make the changes in need with my tune .Do I Copy and past or copy with labels and past with labels. I was looking at it last night and some of the tables wont copy over, they look the same but the rows and columns are in different places or if you can i don't know how . Ive try every thing i know witch isn't much :nixweiss: ,for example >>>>>

up date ill send pics later need to make smaller

I think it's suggested that ALL tables are updated when migrating an '00 car to an '02 OS. I don't know if it will cure your problems for sure. But, it's worth a try. There are some tables that are new and you have to use the 2002 data for. There are some tables that are gone. There are some tables that are transposed (x axis became y axis and vise versa). And then, there are some tables that look the same at first glance - but, don't have the same resolution (e.g. the Desired Idle Airflow table). That's why I copied/pasted w/ labels for all I could. By copying/pasting with labels, it helps prevent those resolution mistakes. If you have a hard time finding a table from the old OS in the new OS (e.g. some of the trans settings are in different spots), use the search box on the top left to look for the table identifier (i.e. the "B3601" number).

For the tables where the axis are transposed, you can use the tool in the tuning software to 'rotate' the data. Copy w/ labels the entire table from the old tune, hit Ctrl+Alt+Enter, click Create New Table, and then click Transpose. :D

I copied all your tables that is listed ,the only problem im having is when i uses the conversion table , I can get it to convert but it will not save the column & rows , Like B5911 (Spark IAT Table) My 2000 is in (inHg link:SAE.KPA) and the 2002 is in(Oz/Cylinder Link:GM.DYNCYLAIR_DMA) it show converted but when i go back it not save ,it goes back to (Oz/Cylinder) ,does it supposed to ?

For the flashing SES, I had the same issue.

The light would flash only at idle, but no code displayed. I too had the P0300 DTC disabled, but it still did it.

To fix it, adjust C5606 (Misfire Detection Min RPM) to a value higher than your idle RPM speed, it should solve the problem.
What this does is effectively shuts off misfire detection until you reach that rpm. My car idles at 900rpm, so I set C5606 to 1200rpm, and I've not seen the flashing light ever again.

Thanks, mine was set at 650 rpm, i set it to 1500 is that ok, i noticed that the (C5605) max was set at 6000rpm and i shift at 7200 can i set it to 8000rpm ?

Increasing C5605 will only increase the rpm range of possible misfire detection. If you still want to keep misfire detection operable at those higher rpm's, then yes, you can set it to 8k.

If you didn't have the flashing SES light with the 2000 OS then you shouldn't have it with your 2002 OS. I think you're adjusting the wrong places here. I believe you need to desensitise(sp) the knock sensors and make sure the entire tune is crossed over properly. This has already been done for you and loaded on the Holdren Crazy site. Go here
http://www.holdencrazy.com/EFILive/modifiedTunes.php
and DL the 1999 Camaro tune listed as "Stock Tune Migrated To 2002 Operating System" for either Auto or Manual, whichever you have. Copy all the tables that you change in your original 2000 tune into it and you should be set.

Like SSpd said, your vehicle has 2000 hardware (engine parts, trans parts, etc),
so you must copy all the tables from the 2000 file to the 2002 tune file...

(there were various differences including intake, exhaust, cam, heads (?), transmission updates and others)

(ok, some tables are missing or are transposed, but these can be dealt with separately)

Don't assume the 2002 tables match your 2000 hardware.

Then why do I keep seeing the recommendation for guys with 2000 cars to take the 1999->2002 off HoldenCrazy and use it? the 1999 and 2000 are the same but both are different than 2002 in terms of hardware? I know the 1999 and 2000 injectors are different.

BTW, not trying to be a smart ass here; just trying to understand.

'99 and '00 had minor differences in the tunes. However, there were hardware upgrades for '01 and '02. New injectors didn't come until '01 ('99/'00 had 26-ers). The tune on HoldenCrazy should have all of the tables copied over. If it doesn't, then it needs to be brought to the admins attention so we can post one that does.

I installed the 99 to 02 OS in my 2000 WS6 with my tune today and runs o.k., might need a little tweaking ,but no flashing SES light now. thank god. as far as injectors i have svo 42 lbs. so i to change IFR it any way. but i need a better tune tho

You may try what I did...On Holden crazy there is a modified tune of 1999 tune migrated to 2002 OS. I am not sure if it is what you need, but it maybe closer and therefore require less copying. I used the tune to convert a 98 to a 99+ computer, my car runs real well even though it is not tuned for my mods yet (cam, headers, STS turbo).

I did the 99 to 02 OS then i copied over my 00 mod.tune ,from what i can tell every thing seems to be working o.k. But when i (hit) the throttle i get a lean spike like 16 to 19 on my WB AFR, but if i slowly get into it its does just fine with no lean spikes .What would cause this? It will do this at idle or cruse or wot. it dont matter what speed, load or rpm , But i didnt before with the 00 OS. Missing a little something. :nixweiss:

We need to get some of these ((((Super Tuners)))) to migrate us a 00 to 02 for the dumb ass like me :grd:

Might be a good idea to sanity check it...

Yep, 2001/2002 (which are the same) are different than earlier years...
different intake, cam, heads (?), exhaust, injectors, no egr, and may have transmission hardware changes.
No one is a smartarse for wanting to learn/understand...

Yes, you are correct Joe. When I used it for my conversion before goig OS5 I went through it. All tables are already transferred for you so that all you need to copy/paste from your existing tune are the tables which you have changed for your tune such as Primary VE, if you've already done VE tuning. IFR, if you changed injectors. Idle and so forth. This way you don't have to sit and copy/paste every table from a 99/00 over to a 01/02. This also will allow you to convert to Custom OS's if you want to upgrade your licensing.

Randy, I too got the spike but cannot remember what I had to change. I'll look back through all my older stuff as soon as I can and see if I can figure which it was.

You'll have to go through the tune in the fueling and idle areas. I forget exactly which table was skewed and can't seem to find it. What I found was a table that was supposed to be all 0's in the 2D graph but when you looked at the graph it showed all zero's but there was a spike in the graph. Still read zreo but was a spike. When looking at the numbers in the table all read 0.0 untill you hit the +00 button up top a few times. There it was, 0.0049 for example. Changed that to all zero's and all was well. I'm pretty sure it was a fueling multiplier table.
