While battling ground offsets and calibration issues with my LC-2's and the V2, I used the LogWorks data viewer as a point of reference. It occurred to me that perhaps it might not be that difficult to have future firmware revisions read the Innovate serial datastream directly.

Thanks!
That's what I get for being absent for so long. LOL
I'm determined to tackle these damn ground issues. I just bought a Fluke 189 on Ebay to replace my stolen 87. I'll even reprogram the LC1 outputs if need be. It looks like NBO2 simulation is going to be about as much fun as a sticky doorknob.
Interestingly, Klaus seems to have done an about face on heater grounding. Early posts suggested grounding the heaters away from the signal leads and I took his advice. The latest LC1 instructions suggest plowing everything into one ground. I have my signal grounds tied to the grounded pin on the ALDL connecter and the heaters grounded to a support bracket behind the dashboard.

My wideband signal "ground" is not grounded, but goes directly to the measuring device's differential input "ground" pin (either FlashScan or PCM NBO2 subharness).

I have been having very good results.

Are those actually differential (floating) grounds on the V2? I posted up in http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=5473 and haven't received a reply yet.
