I logged for awhile I would of liked to get some more cells but oh well. Is there an easier way to get most of the cells hit? Also do you have to do a lot of WOT runs to get a lot of the lower most right cells or is there a simpler way? So then I follow the tutorial and pasted the info to the autove tune. I accidentally saved over the original with the logged info. Would I be able to open the log file again and try to add more cells to it/relog over it then paste it again to the same tune where I alrdy had pasted them before? So now im at the point where it says Return pcm to closed loop, speed density. I guess everything will be cool now with no maf? Wouldnt it be best for me to take the maf totally out then do another log? Is it fine to keep pasting the info to the same tune Im curious.

It's ok to paste/multiply into the same tune file, but if you want to be able to go back (just in case) you should use different filenames (also allows you to compare before/after)...

If you do File->Save As it will increment the _nnnn on the end of the filename.

Which wideband are you using...?

Ok ill be sure to do that Joe. So its ok to run SD now im going to look for a pipe to run strait from the lid to the TB. Is there a technique I can use to hit all these cells easier?? I went out last night but was afraid I was going to get arrested lol. I need to use a dyno but they are just soo expensive.

Alright went and got the car and finished the autoVE. It is alot better then it was before atleast its not asking for fuel now but it is not as steady as ide like pretty lean sometimes cruising but once I get on it its not asking for fuel and the afr looks pretty good then.

You can run either MAF-less or MAF (each has pros vs cons)...

If you decide to run with MAF:
- enable the MAF (by setting the MAF fail parameters back to stock),
- keep closed loop disabled (as is during AVE tuning),
- log MAFFREQ,
- create a map of BEN vs MAFFREQ to look like the MAF table (see attached),
- use this map to paste/multiply into your tune's MAF table (smooth it as you go),
- if the BEN's are already within say 3% (i.e. pretty close) then skip the paste/multiply step.

(attachment:
remove ".txt" from filename and copy to My Documents\EFILive\V7\Maps folder;
from scantool, open map, edit it's properties to use your own BEN calc pid;
this map has 85 rows, starting 1500, ending 12000, step 125, heading "Value").

Regarding idle: you may have to do some idle tuning: showthread.php?t=4661 (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=4661)

Idle seems ok just cruising around with light throttle it seemed to get lean a few times. Car is basically stock except for full exhaust with no cats and a lid.

Ok just got back from driving it again I think it only seems to get lean while cruising and I let off the gas. She def seems to have some more power tho. I didnt have my laptop with me or I would of logged to make sure I am not getting any knock. I like the idea of no maf ide like to port the tb and remove the maf.
Here is the tune file im currently running on per the AutoVE tutorial.

If it leans out when you let off the throttle and are coasting, that is intended behavior. See the DFCO (Deceleration Fuel Cut-Off) tables ;)

Cool thanks. This weekend I will be installing a ported tb and removing the maf totally and installing a hose strait from the lid to the tb. Then a 160 deg t-stat and going at it again.

Should I change B3618 its set to about 11.70 they are all in the 11's. That might be why im getting a tad rich under WOT.

For B3618 "PE vs RPM", if you're not boosted, 11.7 is too rich... try 12.6 or something like that.

Let's get some other opinions... :)

X2 no need to throw good fuel out the pipe.

I was going to change it to 12.5 but figured ide ask you guys first. That 11.7 is from the factory tune the autove has you change it to 14.63 but then it has you change it back to the stock numbers at the end.

Yeah, the factory PE table is somewhat overly rich.

I changed that PE table and im still running rich under WOT like in the 10's and spiked to 9 even. I just put a t-stat on also but im waiting on my tb now then im going to try the autove again and see if its still rich.

Arn't you still running rich at part throttle, you need to dial in the ve table, other wise the computer is just going to dump fuel on top of your pe table because of you running rich in the trims

Partial throttle I think isnt too bad just wot. I can send you a log later with the afr in it.
