There is a thread going in the Diesel Place forum regarding using the IAV for a positive air shutdown. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1836724#post1836724

We've tested with a Tech II commanding the valve closed, and it will shut the motor down. In the oilfield, it is regulated that we have a positive air shutdown to keep diesel engines from running on other combustibles i.e. a natural gas release. Normally we have to hack in a big valve in the air intake, wired to an rpm switch and a manual switch. But it would be nice to use the existing IAV and integrate that with ECM control.

Is there any possibility in introducing programming for this on the LMM?
