My PCM version reads 09381344
Ringram is on standby to give me some help and has already pointed me at an 04 hsv clubsport tune to try out. The thing is I need to upgrade to os3 but what I failed to ask him or to ensure is right is which os3 to go for?
03190003 or 04073103 etc. Obviously I've searched on here but there is little mention of my 09381344 version but I gather this is a 99 OS?
Further, to what I've read I see that if it is such an OS I need to copy each table into the new OS is that also correct?
cheers

I don't know about the UK but we would use COS 01290003 in Australia.

cheers, Rich had mentioned that one too - Once flashed with that, should the 04 HSV Clubsport OL flash fit in nicely or do I still need to copy tables over?

the hsv cals should flash straight in no worries. Do you have a manual or auto. here is a cos 3 with 2004 auto monaro already flashed in. save a bit of messing around if you have an auto. full flash it in, then just a cal only write for the HSV tune.

cheers for the help
Going with this tune http://www.holdencrazy.com/EFILive/TuneFileRepository/Stock/HSV/2004%20HSV%20Clubsport%20Sedan%20Manual%20LS1%205. 7%20Litre%20(PCM%2012225074).tun
then possibly upgrade to 01290003 if I'm happy with the results
cheers

the first thing you will probably need to change is the diff ratio. HSV is 3.73, yours should be 3.46.
or change your diff to 3.73, I know which one I would do.

the diff might be going 3.91 or 4.11 ;)

Should not have had that O.S to start with, that is from a SeriesII VT, odd.

Ross I now know where that OS came from, it had IFR for smaller injectors, the speedo was calibrated for a 3.73 diff too so was under reading - not a good thing
In comparison the speedo now works correctly and the engine feels so much stronger/much more revving too. Of course my next purchase plans include wide bands to replace the o2s and get the tune dialed in nicely.
I'm a bit pissed off to be honest that the tune shop for the speedo readings - that is costly over here if even over the limit by 5mph you can get caught, I was potentially doing 80+ when I thouht I was doing a safe 75.....
just goes to show what a great tool efilive is!
