I'm getting a checksum error loading the recently revised custom O/S #04110001. This wasn't happening with the older version. I've tried re downloading with the same results. Any insights?

I have re-downloaded both the OS and calibrations (updated 29th May). I don't get that error when I open the '04110001.tun' file.

I can email you what I have if you like?

All our custom operating systems have a deliberate checksum error so that the PCM will *never* operate after reflashing with one. You must reflash a valid calibration before the PCM will operate.

EFILive should recognise a custom OS and ignore any calibration checksum error. Operating system checksums are validated so it may be a legitimate error indicating that there is some form of corruption in the file you downloaded. Try downloading it again and/or make sure you are using V7.2.2 as some earlier versions of EFILive do not "ignore" calibration checksum errors on custom operating systems.

Re installing EFI Live did the trick, even though I had the patch in place. Attached is my screen now. So now a cal must be loaded after the reflash before we can browse around the custom tune? No biggie. Not much point in browsing around a blank tune.

I noticed an interesting thing. My Help|Register shows the proper commercial version info, but the Help|About says I only have the Personal Scan & Tune license.

For "security" reasons, the EFILive software will not allow a Commercial or Workshop license if the FlashScan cable is not connected when the Tuning Tool software is first started. Regardless of what is in your license details, EFILive caps the authorization level at Personal if the license cannot be verified by a connected FlashScan cable.

I just started work (ten minutes early - now that's a record) - I posted that message at 8:18am on Monday.
But if you insist, I'll happily go back to bed :)

It just occured to me that you're two hours ahead of my friends in Melbourne and I can never figure out when daylight savings time is or isn't down under. But, it's reassuring to know that the end of the World won't come today, because it's already tomorrow in New Zealand.
