Hi All,
Paul has posted an update here - http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=5707
This now has support for the 2008 Corvette, time to see what can be gained from the new LS3's.
The E38 OS used on the 2008 Corvette also appears to be used on the 2008 trucks too (confirmed on a 2008 Yukon 5.3L).
At some stage Tordne will be hosting some new E38 tun files to download, in that lot is a 2008 Corvette.
Cheers,
Ross

I am 99% sure it is using the same OS as the 2008 Vette so there is probably no need thanks.

No problem I have a tune from a 07 denali that doesn't work for some reason I sent it to support@efilive.

I hear the E38s in the new '08 Vettes have a MAF scale that goes over 1000gm/sec.
Do the new '08 trucks that share the same OS also go over 1000gm/sec?
I looked at the '08 Yukon tune on holdencrazy and it still has a 512gm/sec limit. Is that just because of the MAF it's using or is that still a hard limit in the PCM?
Thanks

The new OS 12617631 is shared between the 08 Vette and the SUV's.
On the LS3 they are taking the MAF table values all the way up to 1878g/sec at 15,000Hz, yet on the SUV it is clipped at 512g/sec, but, could go higher as it's not mathmatically limited now.
Oddly enough the 2008 Z06 is using an OS a little earlier than the LS3 does and it still is limited to 12,000Hz and 512g/sec.

so would it be possible to flash the 08 z06 with the ls3 os?

Wow, that is awesome to hear Ross. Maxing the MAF on forced induction setups will be a thing of the past. :master:

I guess so, I suspect the Z06 development was done before that new OS came out. I'd say if GM do an update to the 08 Z06 it will be to an OS with the new MAF table.
What I have not had a chance to do is go over the code entirely to see if there is still a flow limiter in there. I suspect there might be. The only reason the table changed in the new 08 is they modified the maths behind the table that allowed larger numbers. Perhaps they did this with the idea the future LS engines will one day have factory forced induction.

Ross

You are right, not saying there is anything wrong with the MAF, but at some stage it will become your enemy.
