I have a ecm with os 09381344 and am wanting to convert to the new OS5 but am having a hard time following the tutorials and others posts. What i have gathered is that i need to convert to another os before changing over to OS5. After looking through my custom os i cant seem to find the intermediate os. Am i over looking it or can i not change my 00 a4 to a m6 tune that will allow me to use OS5?
Thanks,
..RJ..

RJ, you need a manual trans. 12212156 OS.

so for me to convert to the cos5 first i should download the os #12212156 then transfer my modified tables from my original os to this one? After doing this then i can folow the info in the cos#5 thread. Is this the correct procedure? Also is there a difference between a 12212156 for a camaro vs. a vette?
Thanks,

That's correct, as long as you have a PCM that supports 12212156 (e.g. PCM part #12200411, or a PCM from a 2000+ F-body or Y-body, or...).
First get engine to run on 12212156; then migrate to COS5.
I don't know if 12212156 is different between Camaro and Vette, but either should work.
