New to EFI, installed a Transgo Jr. Shift kit prior to getting EFI Live so I am just now getting around to resetting TAPS. So I hook the unit up, load the scan tool and click on the Allison Icon. I keep the console icon activated so that I can see module communication. I click "check all" in the TAPS area of the Allison and then click reset TAPS. In the console screen it looks like everything goes ok from a communication stand point but then I get an error that communication has been lost with the vehicle. Do you think my TAPS has been reset or is there a software problem here? I have tried doing this by having the controller set to the Allison as well as the LBZ ECM and I get the same response. Anyway to tell if the reset worked?

Any help on this? I still get these error messages when messing with the Allison override icon in the scan tool. I am guessing that the scan tool is looking for the TCM to communicate back to it after it has reset TAPS, similar to how the ECM communicates back after it has executed a command, but the TCM does not give a follow up communication which causes the error message. Any help would be appreciated.

Currently the reset TAPs option is only available for the 5 speed Allison. The 6 speed reset TAPs options will be added in one of the next software updates.
