OK, having issues with cooling fans and am not an electrician. Car is C5 and LH fan is almost impossible to see.

I went into fan settings and set all Fan #1 settings to 0 assuming even with car cold, fans should come on. Nothing happened, no fans. Tried the same thing with Fan #2 and no fan #2 came on.

Have I overlooked a setting? I just want to force the fans on with teh engine not running. At least I can hear them if I cannot see them.

Appreciate any advice.

Did cam/heads over the winter. I chedked fan connections and everything seems to be OK.

I don't remember the procedure exactly, but hook up to the vehicle and open the Scan Tool. Under Bidirectional Control, I think if you open LS1/LS6 Control panel, you can turn on fan #1, fan #2 or both and hear them run without the engine running.
