Need some advice please.

I have been using efi live for some time now for tuning diesel trucks. I’m know starting to get into transplanting ls1’s and ls2’s in older cars. I would like to continue to use EFI live, and GM computers. If I have the stock harnesses and computers, what is the easiest way to go about the whole thing? Is it a good idea to have custom harnesses made? How do I find the proper OS? Do people have generic tunes posted for a starting point? What is the best forum to be on?

Any help is appreciated.
